Anthony Moran

I'm a fibre artist specialising in weaving on the rigid heddle loom. As someone who is interested in the process I enjoy having a hand in many aspects of creation, from dyeing then spinning of the fibre and finally weaving the finished cloth. I take visual inspiration from the Gippsland coastline, not only from nature, but from the interaction we impart on the environment. The coastline also impacts the textural and tactile nature of my work, from the soft sand to the driftwood that washes against the shore.
