Leanne Martin - a 'techno-abstractionist'

Born in East Melbourne in March of 1954, Leanne came to art late in life via Hornsby TAFE in 2001 followed by Sydney College of the Arts in 2002 - 2004 with Degree in Photomedia.

Her prior history in Computer Engineering had added to her natural technical curiosity. She likes to work in a highly experimental way with photographic abstraction but without any digital gimmickry to alter the images - I prefer to capture it live in camera or not at all."

Overcoming more than a decade of health issues has seen her take up ceramic tile glaze-painting for physiotherapy.
